I think that I know the answer before I ask, but I want to buy a replacement SLK for my wife and like two. A beautiful White 2010 with 105k on the clock, or a common silver 2009 with 35k on the clock. May be I should take longer to find others, but love the white one. When I buy my Estates I never have had a problem with high millage, but just wondered on you thoughts were. Yes I would first check if it has had a cam chain change.

Not much to go on as you haven't mentioned engine, interior colour, mot/service history, condition. But based on colour alone I would go for the silver one as I dislike white cars. :)

My daughter has the grey metallic SLK, was filling up the other day (with her partner) and a bloke started walking round her car and stated "what a beautiful car, I would give everything I own to have that car" so I guess colour is subjective!

I told her if it was Elon Musk she should have taken up the offer ;-).

Going off the milage alone, s'pose you would say the Silver one, BUT they do look good in White, and as you've said yourself, you Iove the white one, and the milage doesn't particularly bother you, the white one it is then. :)

Buy the one that fits your needs and ticks all the boxes.

sorry don't understand?
Undoubtedly there are many different specs and grades you could look at. And some of them your Mrs will disapprove of… so go big or go home I say!

Avoid anything that has a 2 as the first number in the description - like C200, C250Cdi - unless it's an R171 C280 (3L V6 petrol, but check the engine number first!!). If it starts C3, C4 or C5 - buy first, then ask forgiveness, you won't regret it!
