Anyone have any ideas what fluid might be leaking from an E320 estate such as to cause deposits of some white substance on the concrete floor beneath the parked car?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Will

Sorry not to be of much use on your first posting, but I cant think of anything.

Its not engine oil,or transmission, power steering fluid. Water from the radiator is not white. Have you looked under the car itself or in the engine compartment.
Did you leave an ice cream in there at some time.

if its a white chalky type deposit its probably coolant,

check your coolant pipes, is there is a similar deposit around them, then its surely coolant. If the pipes feel soft and "squidgy" i would change them

keep us posted

Thank you Gentlemen for your prompt suggestions.

It appears to be a routine expectoration from the aircon - which I suppose I rarely use!

Cheers,

Will
