Hello and welcome

I’ve moved your thread into the bodywork section for you.

I’ve not seen any white paint issues on here (or out in the real world) with Mercedes. Fire Opal Red, yes very much so

Have you closely checked the panel to see if there are any signs of a previous paint repair? I've only ever heard of the Fire opal problems.

Hello Alec and welcome. have you had the car since new? If not, perhaps there has been a sub-standard repair job in the past?

Hi Alec, welcome to the forum. Like the others I have never seen or heard of it on a White MB. Very unlikely to be a problem as in ‘Fire Opal Red’. I am thinking along the same lines as previous posters, maybe a poor repair done on the car before you took possession. I don't suppose there is any sign of overspray anywhere ? :(

From the pic that would be some serious overspray.

If you can press those bumps down then they are blisters either from a poor repair or from factory.

If no prev job a trip to MB in order on a 2017
