Hmm its an 07 pal , its doesn't mention designo in the add at all

I looked at an 06 S500 221 that was Designo (but not mentioned). Only way to tell apart from VIN decode is an optional Designo tag stitched into the headrests.

Post the add, or go by the vin, many sellers are actually not fully aware as to the extras a car came with.

According to my various books on the 216, when the model first came out it was available in Calcite White, along with 10 other colours. A later edition of the book but still prefacelift shows Diamond White as an additional cost option, again with another 10 available colours.

Interesting, i was sure white wasnt added till 2010 MY

White is a pretty standard colour tbf and I could imagine it being available to most if not all models (despite what the white it called)
