You do not know there was no attempt to brake...you can not see anything whatsoever before the point of impact.

At the point of impact is the salient point and yes, I can see the brake lights are unlit at the point of impact.

One would have to be a blind man on a galloping horse not to see that.

You don't see the back of the car until 2 seconds into the video...after the impact...where's your horse?

At point of impact the engine is almost (reduced slightly) at full bore. His foot is still on the load peddle not on the stoppy brakey one.

Secondly, when the vehicle returns to tarmac there are no skid marks even for ABS.

The weight to braking ratio must be very high. it weighs the same as a bag of sugar with more rubber than an F1 car.

At 0.01 on my computer I can see the brake lights and they aren't on, the 2 cars have just collided at this point, I would think braking was an after thought, when hitting the speed pedal didnt work..

Agreed - have a look at 0.08s they are certainly NOT on , at 0.10 they are but not at the point of impact.

At the point of impact his foot is off the accelerator, the car is decelerating for about half a second before you hear the impact. He hasn't got his foot to the brake though unless he was braking then released before the rear came into view.

You can see the brake lights on...yes...but he has already hit the other car, and is off the throttle at the point of impact.

From impact to stopping was only 80 feet...he stopped quickly...though probably not as quickly as the car is capable of due to hitting 3 other cars.

That only proves they were not on when we first saw the rear of the car...not that they weren't on when he hit the other car...

Facts people, let's deal in facts.

There was a collision between two moving cars, (other stationary cars were hit following the initial impact).
Insurance companies will decide who is to blame by witness accounts and possibly video evidence, without trawling web forums for opinions.

OK hows that for a start :)

You can't see what lights are on immediately before the two cars touch...only that they are not on immediately after they touch...brakes do nothing to slow a car in flight!

The question no one has asked, is why was all of this taped?

Was he putting on a show for his mates who were taping the whole thing or racing?

No brake lights showing but we don't know when they were applied as they were obscured by the car, the lights were already on as it emerged.

I suspect it matters to the Mazda driver.
