I never made it past the red tee's once--never ever done it since and a good job we were up in the Scottish Highlands with nobody to witness the consequences!!

I was invited to play a game on the isle of white many years ago, I said that I have never tried before, but to no avail.

So my first ball, I hit it hard and it took off and hit the flag pole and dropped down near the hole. they all laughed and did not believe me. the rest of the holes were all disasters, and I never found the balls, so never again.

I do have a very nice remote controlled electric golf trolley going cheap, it an "Ultra caddy" it goes for miles,all on its own

I once got to the stage of playing in a 'medal' with a handicap of 24.

Some of my fellow players complained that positioning my dog near the hole to stop the ball when chipping onto the green was not actually in the rules, put an end to my golfing.

Me too, Malcolm. I had quite an amoury all safely locked away when not being used. I even had gun racks in my Range Rovers. Doubt if that would be allowed now by this Nanny State

I used to have a sticker on my back window saying: If Guns are Criminalised - Only Criminals will have Guns. How true!!!
