hi gentlemen

just a quick question if i may please?

my new E280 sport cdi has three settings. comfort, sport and manual. i normallykeep it in comfort. so on the little screen between th speedo and rev counter, either side of the total mileage is says D and C on the other. indicating DRIVE and COMFORT

however, without warning or me pressing anything, it goes into manual mode. so either side of the mileage it says 3 and C. te only way to change gears then is to use the flappy paddles on the steering wheel.

what could be causing this? is it a fault or me being dim?

many thanks

G

If you are in "c" mode and touch one of the paddles it will select manual mode stright away, it will then only change once you reset it with the switch!

Sounds like a fault in the SCM (steering control module), thats what the flappy paddels run though!
