My new C Class 220d driving this morning (brought home last Thursday 50 miles on the clock from delar and not driven until this morning).
As soon as went above 40 mph a red bonnet appears on display with a continuous ping....
Stopped the car and opened the bonnet and closed it firmly.
Still it pings as soon as over 40mph.
Continue to drive 9 miles into town centre and ping now continued at speed 29 mph.

What could be the reason?
Am I save to drive?

UnMerc - 2020 VW Polo 2.0t GTi Plus, DSG. Flash Red, Traditional VW GTi Tartan seat trim.
This might be of assistance as I would say it is a faulty or loose connection on the Sensor in the Bonnet Catch.

It's a new car Bill, he doesn't need to get his hands dirty :)

I took it to my dealer.
Some thing to do with on the bonnet lock that one has to remain open and the other closed when closing the bonnet.
Did not understand but the problem is solved.
No more red sign of the bonnet on my dash no continuous ping.
Lovely
