I have two questions. Firstly, what has Daimler Chrysler got to do with Mercedes-Benz? I noticed that there was quite a lot of reference to Daimler Chrysler on the Mercedes websites.

Now to my next question. I have got a Mercedes sprinter van CDI 183 on order from a local Chrysler dealer. I actually ordered it at the beginning of June and was told it would be ready by the beginning to mid-September. I am having a normal panel van converted so it has windows. Apparently told in these only takes a few days. I have now been told that they won't be starting to build the vehicle until the end of November because there has been a delay with the V6 sprinter vans. I wonder if anybody can shed light on what is going on? I am disabled and will be having the vehicle adapted so I can drive it from a wheelchair. At the moment, my Chrysler is off the road and I am completely without a vehicle so as you can see, I am quite desperate at the moment.

Perhaps I am lucky that MB re organised their outlets, I think that Carrs were the MB dealer for the southwest ( building on the rounderbout, marsh Barton) before MB south west was formed. I walked around Carrs today as I had an hour to spare.

If your agreement(written or verbal) was that the vehicle would be supplied in September you would be perfectly within you rights to threaten to cancel your order. However, should the supplying garage have a genuine reason why they cannot supply the vehicle to you, you may have a problem getting your deposit back if you went to court(although it sounds like you have already had more than you fair share of legal action recently).

I would ask to speak with the dealer manager and explain the inconvenience that their bad timing is causing you(it always pays to be nice). Get a firm commitment from the manager of a delivery date (in writing if possible).

I hope you get it sorted. Good luck.

hence why it's called Daimler Chrysler Mercedes....?!?

The correct name is DaimlerChrysler following the merger between Daimler-Benz and Chrysler.

Mercedes-Benz was a brand of Daimler-Benz and is now a brand of DaimlerChrysler.

My sarcasm was obviously lost in translation.

Try contacting Mercedes Customer Service. Here's the link: -

Try not to imagine conspiracies as the cause of the delay. It won't have anything to do with your campaign on the web. There will be a production date for your van and Mercedes will tell you why the delay has occurred. Best of luck.
