Ok, so normally when I drive and then open the drivers door, it automatically unlocks the passenger door and the boot. Recently it stopped doing that - which was annoying but not world shattering! I was going to post on here, but low and behold, it reverted to it's default without me doing anything. However, today, I get out of the drivers seat to open the boot and the boot is still lockrd as is the dpassenger door. Any Ideas guys??? By the way, passenger door/boot unlock from key fob and internal switch.

Possibly a broken wire between the A pillar and drivers door or between body and boot lid.

Are you leaving the key in the ignition in one instance, but not the other?

did the car get any software updates? I expect its a setting in comand, many other countries think its safer to only unlock the drivers door so making it less convenient for the muggers / hoodies / nasty people to jump in and surprise you.

They fail to realise the smashing of the side glass is the much better way to provide the instant shock to bewilder the occupant so its much safer for the mugger to get what they want... (thus they don't ever try to open the door, just lean in).

And of course as we continue to partake in the spiral, you get the even simpler method many countries have progressed to, where you just shoot them first and they don't fight back at all (A side benefit you don't even need to explain yourself, just shoot and go).

Some yrs ago I was on way home at night went around corner 2 rows of rocks blocking road.those days side arm was in gear shift hand and window down.drove thru rocks emptied mag at shapes in dark .seemed to take their mind off me and I didn't stop to check on their welfare!! Just made it the 3km home as fuel tank holed in morning front of car an inch higher than before and car was written off by insurers.
Shot n go has its benefits...did for me.

Just been serviced, but I specifically left instructions not o perform any updates that could affect the Re-map. So hopefully - No. They certainly didn't mention it or charge for it on invoice.

door locking / unlocking using the remote on drivers only, is available in some cars/markets
auto locking as you drive away is definitely there on many higher spec cars / default to on already in many other markets

if you double pull the internal handle does it open all doors and likewise double tab the remote button to open all ?

if that's working, I'd check cluster or comand menu options in conjunction with the user manual....
