Hi All. We are looking to purchase an AMG GTS and would like to know if it will fit in a single integral garage?
Has anyone got one they park in the garage?

Length wise we are fine at 500cm.

Width garage door 210cm. Width of the garage itself once in the garage is 250cm.

I know the AMG GTS door is slightly smaller than the current W204 C63 Coupe but would like to be sure the AMG GTS will fit in before the family purchase!

Can you help?

You need to check the width of the car against your garage... whilst most modern garages are fairly standard it’s yours that’s important.
I push my 911 and SLK into my garage as I’ve 2 bikes, racking arm tool cabinets sharing the space. There is about 50mm clearance on each side of mine

Not taken any measurements, but our Clk (208) did fit into out 1960’s single integral garage....

just couldn’t open the doors wide enough to get out.

Whats the max width of the car vis a vis the entrance to the garage (to see if you can get in with the car) and the width of the garage itself (make sure you can get in and out the car without chipping the door paint work on the walls).

This is what the OP is asking because he (apparently) doesn't know the exact dimensions of the car.
The link I posted gives the exact dimensions, so if he comes back to look it should be of help. :)

I am impressed Blobcat. We have a double garage 2 doors to accommodate the E class, SLC, & FJR1330 between them.

If the OP Googled it he'd find the AMG is 2.007 metres wide. Thus he would have about 46mm each side to get through the door. I've had less and got in.

Correct, think he is trying to say "Look at me I'm getting an AMG GTS" or am I being cynical:rolleyes:

You need a bigger garage: (it's been tidied up and fitted out since this pic was taken 3 years ago).
Yes, yes I do. 2 bed house and 4 / 5 car garage is what I need - not the other way around, which I have... :(

Which is exactly what I done if you click on the link that I posted...however it is quoted as 2075 mm including mirrors so would only be 12.5 mm per side clearance through the door which is very tight, so the mirrors would need to be folded in.
I checked 2 sources and both quoted the same dimensions.

It is amusing how we are all discussing this, but the OP visits/posts infrequently so might be a while until he sees the information he was asking for. :p

My GLC will only just go in with the mirrors folded and the 360° Camera certainly helps me line up the car centrally to the door posts!

Correct me if I am wrong and most likely am.
The building regulations would have a minimum standard size for building a garage.
But this would have been in 19?? when cars such as the Austin mini and Morris Minor would fit easy and with room to some maintenance in the garage.
Today you would be lucky to fit any popular car in.
