Nearly made it one whole year without anything going wrong, until -
drivers side window, goes down automatically. Will only go up holding the up switch, then when it gets to the top and you let go it goes back down about 15mm. push up again and it stays up.
Tried a window reset but no change.
guessing the control unit for the windows. What do you think, and if opinion is that then where is it lockated?
thanks. Andy.

It could be an Electro/Mechanical failure in the switch or a Door Control Unit failure, a scan could provide further guidance, the Door Control Unit is fitted behind the Door Trim Panel in each door, a quick looksee may reveal indications of a problem with signs of broken/damaged wiring, heat/water damage etc?

Could be dirty runners causing friction so the anti-jam kicks in sending the window back. I'd have the door card off and clean / lubricate everything.

scanned it with icarsoft mb2 but that does not show any fault.
I don't think its dirt or sticky runners as it does exactly the same every time.
The switch works fine every time manually winding up.
At least now I know that the offending part is located within the door so thanks for the help/suggestions :)

Try disconnecting the battery for a while. Reconnect and then do the window reset thing. My 168 has this problem occasionally.

Interesting idea.. doesn't disconnecting the battery cause more problems though ?
