Windscreen Washer Issue

The car (2016 A Class A180D) hasn't been getting much use lately - so this could have been an issue for god knows how long, however I noticed when using the windscreen washers only the passenger side is getting sprayed (and it's more like a dribble) and no water sprays onto the driver side.

I lifted up the bonnet and it seems the screenwash is just leaking out of the end (circled), is it missing a cap or something?

If so, where exactly could I find one? I've had a quick google but I can't seem to find anything that looks applicable.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Not so easy to see from the photo,
but that's a hose connector.
Is it possible you've lost the hose link from wiper to it?

I'm not sure. It was recently serviced so it could have came off during that I guess.

It looks to me like it's just open ended and it's missing a cap of sorts, but I haven't the first clue what to look for. I've had a look around to see if there are any loose parts but I can't see anything.

If what we're seeing in the green circle is the drivers side jet as well as the open hose connector, it could be that like my S204 there should be a short piece of pipe with a cap in the end that fits onto that open hose connector. That provides a useful place for backflushing the pipework with water or air if you get blockage in the system.

Yeah, that's exactly it by the sounds of it. I just need to figure out where I can purchase that piece for the end, I can't find it anywhere.

find a piece of tube the right dia .... shove it over the fitting & then find something to blank the tube off - small bolt or squash the end over :)

@lockt I may have the appropriate bit in my garage, but the problem will be, if I find it, you do not have enough posts for PM's (conversations) so don't know how we could communicate! Let me look in my garage and revert on here.

I bit of pipe with a blanking screw in it will do the job if you can live with that.
Otherwise take a trip to the dealers and ask them to pull pull up the IPL for correct part.
To figure out if its just a blanking hose, put a blob of blu tak in there, bonnet down (otherwise they wont work) and operate the washers.
