There is plenty fluid in the tank. However, when I operate the washer, nothing actually comes out of the nozzles. It actually leaks from the underside of the bonnet. I don't know how to get to the tubing to check for disconnections. It's a v-reg e240. Any help will be much appreciated

This is for a W202(C180)... Here ...yours may be much the same, there are plastic covers at most of the access points to the components.

Or put your VIN number (bottom of windscreen passanger side) in here... http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb.asp

The washer nozzles come out the same way as the repeater lamps you push in one direction and they lift out. not so easy in the cold weather

You do have a pipe off

Fiddly job on a 210, I replaced jet assemblies and pump for new components recently. The jet assemblies are hooked onto the bonnet one side (nearest jet outlet) and you have to draw out two locking tabs per unit (you can identify them as they are visible) once withdrawn you can then prise out the units, don't attempt to prise the units out without doing this they will break.

If you are unsure get your local garage to do it the jet assemblies are quite expensive.

Hope this helps!

Hi panpan

I have found that blocked jets often result from using a cheap windscreen wash solution. You can get a fine, algae-like growth forming in the reservoir which can result in blocked jets.

When the pump operates the windscreen wash solution finds the path of least resistance and with blocked jets this often this results in leaks around the jet-pipe connections. Sometimes one of the pipes is forced off a jet and then neither work.

My indie recommends using only MB windscreen wash and so far I've had no problems.
