Windscreen wiper problem

I know you probably think what a thick idiot i must be but i have just washed my 1987 merc 190 for the first time and cannot find the release catch to drop the wiper blade back onto the windscreen. The manual says prise this catch. I say what with and where is it? Needless to say it will be its first and last wash. Any help please.
