I've got a crack in the windscreen of my 1981 sl380. It's too bad for a repair and I need a new one ... any ideas on a secondhand one eg cost, where to buy and how uniform across the range. I've been quoted nearly £400 for a new one!!!

Thanks

Phil

not really you have a broken windscreen you will have insurance its just the sequence of events that were in the wrong order.

been there, done that. Does depend on whether you've fully comp though.
Anyway - if you're going for your sainthood, main Merc breakers are Mercman in Southampton and Dronsfields up norf.

Insurance companies don't hesitate to stich their customers up, so wait until its insured and then claim.
