I have a 2013 E220CDI (w212)?
Last year between October and April this year my car has NOT liked starting.
YES, the problem is back.
I have changed BOTH batteries recently.
On the first starting of the day I put key into ignition and turn sometimes NOTHING happens.
So I pump the brake pedal, sometimes this will let the starter work.
Sometimes with my foot on brake pedal again Nothing happens.
I remove key and rotate 180 degrees and try ignition again, sometimes this helps.
After it starts the fault message below will show
After removing all faults at a garage last night with 40 miles driven the ECO light stayed yellow.
My car is used as a taxi and has 181,000 miles on the clock

Sounds like you have a less than optimal battery. Did you fit the correct size and technology?

Yes the aux battery was sold by Listers in Humber after checking it was correct size.
Maybe i should try and get a more powerful main (big) battery ?

The GP light comes back on and stays on in that case.

Re the battery OP, check the voltage before start with a voltmeter in themorbing and report back.

Did you get a decent main battery - Varta for eg or MB own and the right spec, there is no point in getting an over spec battery for the car.

I'd check the alternator. The brushes could be worn at that mileage and it may not be charging the battery properly.
