I may have to change the wiper mechanism on a W202 Mono-Wiper and I would like it to park on the passenger side. I was in Dublin last summer and a W202 passed me with the Mono-Wiper parked on the passenger side and no I hadn't touched any Guinness as it was still early morning.
I would be grateful if someone could explain how to set up the wiper to park on the passanger side as it's awkward to have clear vision if it doesn't park properly on the driver side.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

do you want to adjust the side it's parking on ? or is the wiper arm itself hesitating and stiff ?

if it's stiff then the guide rails need to be greased (easy job takes 10 minutes)

here's how > http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?t=26200

Thankyou for your prompt reply. I don't want to park the wiper vertical I want to park it as on a LHD car. Is it possible to adjust a RHD to park at the bottom of the screen on the left. If not and I have to purchase a replacement what do I have to do to fit a LHD wiper mechanism into a RHD with the existing motor and all the other bits and pieces.
Just checking

Just follow the instructions in that link, set the motor to park position ,slacken the nut at the motor crank ,move the wiper to the position you want it to park then retighten the nut .
Refit the assembly and check the park position before refitting the bodywork.:D
The only reason there are left and right hand drive mechanisms is to fit in with the rest of the set up of the car, the drive heads are identical in both cases.
