wiper stuck

i have just bought this merc so i dont no much about it .. i have just washed the car and now i can not get the wiper down .. i lifted it up to clean under it and now stuck up , so how do i get it down .. is there some kind of lock on it... it the windscrean .....

problem now sorted ... it was just very stiff so with the help of some wd40 its fixed...
