Wipers behave erratically when indicators are used

Hello there, I am new to the site my c220 elegance has developed an erratic fault sometimes the wipers come on when I use the indicators, and sometimes sweep erratically for no reason whatsoever, this fault might not occur for weeks and then returns it is a 1997 model.
Please excuse my ignorance but could anybody tell me what W model this is, ie wo2.
p.s I have been reading a lot of the posts on the site there is some good stuff to be had.

Hello,

If you push the end of the indicator stalk in a little bit, the wiper will sweep, either you are pushing in the stalk a bit when you operate the indicators, or failing that the contacts in the stalk are wearing out.

As for the techno speak, W202 is the model of your car (i.e C class from 1993 to 1999/2000 ish), the W203 went from 2000 to 08, you will notice that this number appears after WDB... on your chassis number which can be found on the drivers door pillar, or at the base of the windscreen.

I would agree with Richard, the stalk would seem the most likely cause and the simplest thing to investigate first.
