wires came off the Ignition switch -

OK - while removing (the cave man method ) My ignition lock assembly on my 300e 4matic . The wires all came off the back of the switch - each of the posts are labled and all of the wired are color coded - . I have the MB service cd on order - does anyone know or have the right wire >plug ?? basicaly what wire goes where ?? help

I once replaced my ignition switch so I appreciate your problems
Do you have 5 or 3 wires to connect ?
Does the terminals on switch back have numbers adjacent ?
If three then connect as follows
RED to terminals 30 & 30
RED & PINK to terminals 15

If five, then connect
PINK & YELLOW to 15R
GREEN & WHITE to P

the wiring diagram I am using is from the Haynes manual ,so therefore may not be quite right for your model ,but will be similar.
according to my diagram 15x has no connection, & p30 is listed as P with a green/white cable attached
there is no purple cables at all listed in the diagram but there are VIOLET
THE violet cables are connected to the starter motor VIA a reverse switch connector box/junction & are connected to terminal 50 AT THE IGNITION SWITCH
