wiring loom w124 300 td est

hi,can anyone help me please. i have a w124 300 touring diesel estate 1993.something went slightly wrong after a recent engine rebuild andon firing up part of the wiring loom which runs from the bulkhead past the battery to the glow plug box burned. i now dont know where some of the wires go, or colours. could anyone send me a coloured diagram please.

Sounds like the feed into the glow plug relay was swopped with the turn-on lead

It's a simple circuit - the ignition switch feeds the relay and a wire goes back to the binnacle for the glow plug light. There's a heavy power feed to the relay and the six feeds out on a multiplug. IIRC that's it

You may have to rewire the cables to the ignition switch & binnacle. I suspect you may also have burnt out the ignition switch

I don't know where you can find an accurate wiring diagram but these may help. You say it's a Touring Diesel so I've assumed it's a late 300TD not an early E300 Diesel
