There's a reasonable level of discount (15-20%) available on most MB parts so don't be afraid to ask for it. Wherever you buy it from I'd give them the VIN and let them order the correct part. That way, should it be the wrong part, you can return itAsk the dealer to take the tails back and order the proper loom....
All Merc dealers will print off a quotation for you if you go into the parts dept. The quote lists your VIN and the appropriate part number for the quoted item. Obviously take your VIN into the parts desk and ensure he keys it into his computer.
Before the garage starts fitting it they should lay out the old one against the new one and check it is 100% correct. If the new part is wrong it's best to find out straight away
