Wis Tis Epc???

hi everyone.

I Like to do "bits" on my car that enable be to save ££s at the dealers.
Although i have my dealer doing my services.

I want to know what is the best software to buy to assist me and what do they all do.

I have purchased a WIS which works fine (ASRA INFOBOX),
but i have also seen TIS and EPC.

As i say i like to do bits myself and find the WIS can be a nightmare to use.
what are the TIS and EPC and should i get them also, ie how different are they to the WIS and do they help in using WIS.
Does the WIS actually tell you about service items?

Haven't seen a TIS for MBs but for BMW it is the Technical Instruction Sheet database. EPC stands for Electronic parts catalogue (for BMW it is called ETK Ersatz Teil Katalog [ Replacement Parts Catalogue]).

All 3 are often bundled together (along with a Euro pricelist) on 2 DVD's for around £5 on Ebay.
I find the EPC most useful.The installation process is complex, make sure you get an instruction sheet.

i bought the EPC for merc from ebay....but when i recieved it, it was the american one. so its all american models. and unfortunately, clk 230K isnt in US ....so basically the car i bought it for isnt in there. .... just make sure to confirm its the European CD.

p.s. the seller isnt a registered member anymore soooooooo cant even complain!!
