wood steering wheel for 1978 450slc

Hello,
Does any one know of a after market steering wheel that would work on a 78 450 slc? must be 16.5 " across or slightly larger. This to be able to read the speedometer.Wood with aluminium woulld be just great. Thanks for reading my post, if you can be of help, please let me know.

We had that thread a little time back where the guy asked how to remove the airbag, he put up a very nice photo, and did a good job.
