I've got a lot of car cleaning to do; I want to get the 211 and 215 both on a ramp, whip the undertrays off and give the underfloor a good antirust treatment on both; rear wheelarches need stripping out, rust rubbing off, rust preventative on and repainting; engine bays as already mentioned; the 211 needs some suspension work doing (bit clunky going over bumps- bushes I'd imagine); the 215 needs some interior trim removing and silent tape adding, some of it's a bit squeaky; all the leather needs Gliptoning; the 215 driver's bolster has a very small seam rip that needs fixing; the 211 needs a new jacking point block to replace the one that I ripped off going over a raised up block paver; and finally the 215 needs the rear bumper and wheelarch paint repair finishing off.

You best get on it then!!!!

SO far, since the end of September, do you know how many weekends I've had at home (as in, not visiting family, or having to do kiddy-based things) when it's not either been raining or snowing?

1!!!

I don't have a garage that will fit the car, or a carport so the cleaning/ prettying-up jobs have been left to fester until the weather improves.

And I've got a shedload of gardening to do too.

I might even finish my List before you do yours.
Don't envy you on the underchassis clean up and derust. ....just doing the exhaust was a pain, cold and dirty ughh.
Mind you it was nice finding zero rust, except those 2 little parts, now bought and overpainted ready for install .... if it ever stops raining!
Seems to have rained every day for a month!

You might well do, work has kicked up to a higher gear than I previously thought possible so I might lose my Friday afternoon quiet times...

I know the 215 has a pretty solid underfloor, I've seen it on the lift and was surprised t how clean it is. Still, I'd like to get it sorted as I've got the car into a halfway decent state now.

I've not seen the 211 on the ramp yet but will get it booked in with Phil in March, so I'll wait on his report.

I know that there's a place in Daventry that rents out ramps by the hour, so I might just get my kit together and take a trip up there one day.

I didn't realise Malc had fitted a ramp before a staircase, priorities and all that ;-)

Oh yes, Think of all that nasty oil in the engine, and I bet there are a few bogeys in the interior too. Work has only just begun.

Have you looked at your tyres recently? Mine a filthy! Its a mammoth job keeping them clean.

I blame the roads. Horrid mucky things that they are.

Actually I lost a few bogies into the passenger footwell last night, had a bumper crop for some reason. Like dried petit pois they were.

I know, I can hardly keep from going out and waxing them after work. Car cleaning gets done once a year by the Bulgarians whether it needs it or not.
