Hello everyone,
i own a 1991 300sl Hard / soft top, 1 small problem, my electric soft top has stopped functioning ? and Today ( tuesday ) Mercedes are coming to pick it up asnd fix, i know its a little late for ant help here, but ive only just found this forum :) so... if anyone needs any info as what happens next, as in how they mannage to fix it and Costs :( just message me here and i`ll tell all , if ive any £££ left for the Internet, ;) when theyve finnished,

Ouch, not good news, they will want to change the soft top module, about £1500., if they do, you can get your one fixed much cheaper elsewhere.

as for a cheaper unit, any ideas where from mate ?

There are firms that will repair or exchange the unit. When you get the answer from MB, we can take it from there.

I`m Back ;0)

Sorry for the late reply Malcolm, but BT upgraded me to 8 megs, but decided to take 10 days... and more to sort it, so i was on and offline like a chip fryers Panties ;0) but im here now, and of course Mercedes got hold of my roof, replacing a £30 Relay ( as priced by them on the Invoice ) but mannaging to charge me £450, but at least its done ....
