Hi,
I have a major issue that hopefully will ned up being a minor issue. I drove home form Oxford yesterday evening approx. 140 miles. I stopped off at a services on the way back, before this point all was well. I started the car and exited the services onto the slip road, and there was no pull at all!!! I eventually reached about 60-70mph, the car shifted manually but had an odd pattern whereby it shifted at exactly 2800 rpm which is unusual. eco or sport made no difference, but the selector would no longer give me a manual option, and the paddle shift didn't work either. I limped home, left the car overnight and had a code read session this morning, the results were all current and stored: -
P05DB11 The Actuation valve of the oil pump in the combustion engine has a short to ground
P004711 The Boost Pressure Control Flap has a short to ground
P024511 The output for the low pressure turbocharger has a short to ground
P260211 The output for the circulation pump coolant has a short to ground
P1C4911 The valve for piston cooling has a short to ground
B21BE11 Actuation of the radiator shutters has a short to ground
P0C1E11 Check component Y58/13 heat exchanger shut off valve has a short to ground
Clearly there is a short to ground somewhere! I have an automation business so am familiar with the terminology and principle of how the ECU inputs and outputs work, but I don't know where half of these rascals are in the engine bay to start unplugging to test. Has anyone any ideas? I appreciate that the ECU may itself have failed, although the canbus is OK.....
Book in for a service on Monday so hope to have it sorted by then (at least diagnosed!
Thanks in advance.....
