This has been going on for a few weeks now. (w2o3)
Start car with lights on, give it within 5 mins, hit a bump and out the dip light on one side goes..
Switch to side lights, switch back to dip and it lights up, may go out again shortly or stay on for a while.
Whenever it goes out it will always come back on if turned off then on again.
This eve, parked facing fence, got light on and it was flickering before it went out.
It also appears to be more halogen coloured than the other xenon?
So- lamp, ballast, ignitor or dodgy wiring, or maybe i need to start swopping bits over to find out for myself?
Just thought someone may have an idea as the parts dont look that easy to get to.

My thoughts would be the igniter, it just plugs in on most and cheap now on Ebay as are the lamps.

Just one tip, do not turn the lamps on with a bulb removed.

If it is a bulb then best to buy 2 as there could be a colour difference

Ok, many thanks for the input malc !
Does the ignitor just light the lamp or is it needed the whole time ?

I replaced the burners/bulbs for some 6000k ones to sort out the dull bulb problem..
Now strangely,i have not had the offending light go out?
Maybe it was a duff bulb, or dodgy wiring? The contacts all looked very clean though and the 6k are a lot better than the oem 4600k or whatever they are.
Guess time will tell if they start playing up again?
