My E34 BMW that I bought last week for £200, has gone straight through the MOT test, with just an advisory for a rear tyre.

I had the MOT done at Nationwide Autocentre, for the discount price of £36, this discount is given on production of an RAC or AA membership.

They've put the price up since last July - had both mine done at their Ashford branch for £27 each - cheeky rascals!

So, when are you using the scrappage scheme to get £2000 off a decent car?? £1800 profit not to be sneezed at!

You have to own the car for 12 months for scrappage...but I should still make a drink on it...free listing on Ebay this weekend.

I knew that - just a shame in a way as it's kept another BMW on the road - and we all know how considerate the average BMW driver (not you, Jim, I'm sure!!) is to other road users! Motorway driving last Sunday (M20/26/25/40) they outnumbered other inconsiderate bods about 10 to 1 (and not a single MB in the list!)

Ah ha, I have 2 x BMW's and 2 x Mercs...does that mean I got a split personality??

And yes 47, I am well happy....for £236, I have a mint, low mileage BMW with 12 months MOT, for less than I paid for my bicycle!!
