I am looking to buy an r107 SL 300 - I have read a fair bit, and hope I have narrowed down my search smartly - I am now looking to find someone who really knows to take a look at 1 or 2 cars to confirm that I have not missed stuff that is important. I am in the Croydon area (the cars are relatively local - Bromley and Kew areas) - I am ideally seeking a recommended inspector who can travel to the cars.

Any one got any friends or contacts they can recommend ?

it isn't so silly to jin the AA or RAC; they will do inspections and their inspectors are pros. Good vendors don't object to a bloke in a yellow van doing the work: really good vendors already have the inspection report as part of the document pack.
