Way too many peeps have no clue how to drive in winter conditions and make zero preparations. If I don't need to go out then I don't. If I do then I'm prepared and go the back roads as the main roads are blocked with cars.

I'm 100% in agreement with you on this.

It drives my wife crazy when I go the back roads but, as I keep telling her "they're usually empty because most folk these days haven't got a clue how to drive on them when it's been snowing" They are where I learned to drive and RWD at that, many years ago in the days when we had a fairly harsh winter every year, lol.

I can maintain my own safe pace and so far have managed not to get stuck anywhere.
