Hi Malcolm,

Same problem with parktronic here with my 2003 w211 wagon E270cdi avantgarde. No clue whether it is front or rear one, nevertheless some instructions how to replace sensors would be very helpful.

Just read all the above but I'm no clearer. My rear parktronic is very hit and miss, only one sensor picks up anything and then only at about 1/2 metre. Remove and dry? How?

Have similar issue with c270

I have similar prob. with the sensors on my 04 c270 estate. I also assumed it was due to weather. My sensors turn themselves off. Button lights up. When I attempt to turn them back on, get the red warning lights and the be-e-e-e-p. However the problem is intermittent. Once the weather improved, they appeared to work correctly. Just when I thought things were ok and had sighed with relief it kicked off again!!!

Hi Malcolm,
Can I tap the 'font of knowledge' again and ask if you have similar instructions for removing parking sensors on 04 C270 estate?
Thanks
Rob

E320 CDI Estate Parking Sensor Problem

Hi Malcolm,

Have been following this lengthy thread with interest - as I have exactly the same issue with my car. I would be grateful if you could email any literature you have on how to test the sensors etc. I have managed to remove all of them individually, noting mine are a mix of the 001 and 004 variants. Interestingly, after removing and reseating all of the them, the parktronic system appears to work intermittently - which is more than I had before with the 4 red LEDs on both the front and rear lights.

Grateful if you could help with the docs, as my specialist Mercedes Benz garage have charged for STARs diagnostic and have potentially suggested a CAN problem, but aren't sure - so they want to investigate - and I can just see the spiralling bill should I let this happen without following some of the advice in this forum first.

Email is: craig_kirk@hotmail.com

Thanks

Craig

Hi Malcolm,

This is my first post hope you can help.

I believe I have a Parktronic sensor problem at the front of the vehicle, usual thing red lights and bleeps, the rears seem to work fine. I have been following this thread and have noticed not many posts from M Class owners. Please can you send the document to check the sensors out, my email address is timothy28@sky.com

Many Thanks.

Parking Sensors playing up.

I think I turned them on and turned them off, now they keep turning themselves off, with a long beep and only the red lights flashing.

I have tried turning on and off again, I have been round and looked at the fronts of each of the sensors they seem clean enough. Seem to be having a rough time with my new car... :-(
