I think I turned them on and turned them off, now they keep turning themselves off, with a long beep and only the red lights flashing.

I have tried turning on and off again, I have been round and looked at the fronts of each of the sensors they seem clean enough. Seem to be having a rough time with my new car... :-(

I can send you the details of a few things to check

Just bought myself an 05 E270 estate, the sensors were working when I bought the car now they, don't :-(. Been reading this thread with interest. All I get is 4 red lights at the front and rear then switches off.
Malcolm any chance you could send me the appropriate docs to check and replace the faulty sensor. Many thanks.

PLEASE,PLEASE, HELP!!!
What started as an intermitent fault is now permanant.
Parktronic activating when slowing down. also affects reverse sensors.
I have tried the following
I have cleaned the sensors (several times) result no change
Got it diagnosed on a 'autoboss' ?? system, showed 10 faults, cleared, problem remains!
Got it diagnosed at an independant Merc centre in Bridgend, no faults indicated and after a long test drive no evidence of fault!!! drove home no fault!!!
Next day fault returned with a vengance and now when it happens (continual) it switches the sensors off by the switch???
I am so frustrated I dont know what to do next and the car is up for sale and I do not want to sell it with a fault (W208 Convertable W reg 2000)
can anyone help??

Hi Guys

Now that Malcom is not here for a while would anyone else be able to forward me the details, my sensors are intermittent (well faulty most of the time) and don't want to just have a go without some instruction for fear of breaking something.
