The 2012 owner's handbook does describe the second, Parking Guidance, option.
And to think the new ford Focus parks itself and not a £3k extra.
The blue P is for parking guidance I have it and the code is 230.
I think we are getting our wires crossed boss you are perhaps talking about Active park assist I am talking about the more basic park assist when the car tells you which way to turn the steering wheel it does not do it for you my car is a 2009 active park assist was not available then just park assist. I understood parktronic to be my lights on the dash etc Correct me if I am talking rubbish
I have the parking guidance on my 2007 CL500, the new blue version late 2010 has the full works that steers the car into a gap.
You have forced my hand it is now time to get my manual out and check
I will be back
I think I'm right in saying that such features gradually find their way down the model range after being first introduced on the high-end cars. For example, I'd not expect to see a C-Class from 2007 have this feature, whereas your high-end CL did.

My SL has Active Park Assist and very cool it is as well. I use it to amuse my little nieces or elderly mother but that's about all. It's a 'Magic Car' and parks itself don'tchaknow.
You know actually checking the manual is cheating right?
