Isn't that just a resistor in a box though?? What would be great to know is if the sensor were to be bypassed, would the belt butler still work? The belt butler being non functioning is a bit of a PITA in all honesty!

In other news, my new pen arrived to keep in the glovebox :)

Nevermind, I had a brainwave earlier, I pondered the thought of a bypass kit and I remembered an invoice in the history that confused me at the time, this one.

IMG_6338.JPG

That means the passenger seat mat has already had a bypass kit installed. I need to check that out before doing anything else. Sadly it is hammering it down now and it's my Birthday tomorrow, then my Son's Birthday on Sunday and my wedding anniversary on Tuesday so I probably won't be looking anytime soon unless I get a break somewhere to do it and it isn't raining :)

Hopefully a pin has come loose as I moved the seat yesterday for the first time since I bought it and it seems strange the light has come on after that so stay tuned :D

Thanks everyone, hopefully it'll be a quick fix now I've remembered the seat occupancy sensor has already been bypassed and the belt butler worked with the kit. I imagine either the bypass kit is faulty or a pin has come loose under the seat. It's always been faulty, the seatbelt light was constantly on even if there was nobody sat in it so it may be that the bypass kit was failing anyway and has finally given in.

One can hope :D

I was going to give Trafnant garage a call until I remembered about that invoice so I'll keep them in mind while I'm trying to solve this issue :)

Do you have the Maglite?

Where did you get the pen..? I'd like a couple... do you have the white cotton gloves for your toolkit? :D

I don't have a Maglite nor do I have white gloves, in fact, I don't have a toolkit, only the jack and wheel brace (or if I do, I don't know where it is)!

I got the pen here https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/1489150153?iid=131777586688&trdt=0&rdtsrc=vi

They have quite a few in but I liked this one as it matches the text on the CD changer quite nicely :D

In your car the toolkit should sit above the spare wheel as a round shallow tray.

If you really want to go full throttle, you should source one of the 5 litre round petrol cans...

Thanks, it's getting somewhere now. :) I'm very happy with the progress made here.

I have a plastic tray with the jack, wheel brace, some fuses and some bits and pieces in it, is that it? What's this about a fuel can?? I need to look for one of them now! And the maglite, and everything else... ;)

Not sure, Google isn't helping me much but maybe I'm not looking in the right place. On the 208 I'm aware there's a first aid kit in the back, that was quite a neat idea but my 209 doesn't seem to have one, nor a dedicated place to put one. Is this right, or have I just not found it yet?

Funnily enough there's one exactly the same I see regularly on the Fylde. But if you want bright its nothing compared to what I can only describe as lime green metallic (the limiest you can imagine - think 1960's Hot Wheels colour) on an MB in the same area.

On my 207, the first aid kit is held by Velcro straps on the right hand wall of the boot right at the rear of the car.

That would make sense, there's a space for it in the boot of mine. Shame really, used to quite like the first aid kit trays in the cabin, was a better place to put it as well but never mind :)
