All that in one afternoon?
All that in one afternoon?
They don't tend to get ingested until very very high mileage, they usually just leak oil/boost.I believe so, but I'm sure some of our Indie gurus will confirm!

Whats the best budget code reader, I want something that gives live data. Now that the wife has her own car and I have my van I'm going to get to the bottom of the little niggles. Starting with the pressure sensor. I want to check the idle bar pressure to see if it's the sensor that's buggered. In the mean time I'll check the wiring to make sure there's no short. Anyhow is icarsoft a decent buy?
That would be great thank you.Despite not finding a legit dealer, I got the Autel MaxiAP AP200 which does do live data (for a lot of modules but maybe not all)
It works the the free Autel app for iOS and Android, and (unlike Carly) the first manufacturer is free with registration instead of a monthly subscription. For £45 I am not sure you can find better.2024 Autel MaxiAP AP200 Bluetooth OBD2 Code Reader with Full Systems Diagnoses
Autel AP200, as an innovative Bluetooth OBD2 scanner, equipped with its own App -"Maxi AP200", complete OBD2 functions, along with various reset services (Oil/ EPB/ BMS/ SAS Resets, DPF Regeneration etc.), is a compact option for family DIYers to troubleshoot vehicle's issues in no time.www.autelstore.co.uk
If you want I can send you some screenshots of the pressure sensor readings I get (it did seem to do along those lines)

Nothing like a quick drive round a 700 mile block eh? Ha!Quick run out yesterday, just short of 700 miles in the day looking at a couple of houses, think it will have blown out most of the cobwebs.
Yeah only a couple of hours behind the wheel, knackered by the time I got home at 1am but still enjoy driving the old girlNothing like a quick drive round a 700 mile block eh? Ha!
Yes, driveshaft failing or Uj in the prop failing. Putting a heavy load in the boot will change the angle of the driveshafts joints and may make it worse/better to assist in diag.Drove 100mile round trip in the W203 C270cdi today, and the knocking I was hearing on acceleration is a lot worse today! :’(. Driving up to the Lake District from London on Monday so no chance to get it looked at before then... hoping I make the trip there and back!
The cause has got me a bit baffled as my indie couldn’t see anything!
Symptom: knocking on any acceleration from 0-30, even rolling under idle power from 0 produces the knocking but it totally disappears once you hit 30, and you can accelerate in any manner, not hearing it. If I barely accelerate at all from zero, creeping up to speed as slowly as possible it reduces the knocking almost to zero.
I have zero clue as to what the issue could be. My gut tells me it is something in the drive train, possibly on a drive shaft/prop shaft, if there is some sort of bushing or shock-absorbing mount that needs replacing? Any ideas ping me, or tell me I am being silly
Wish me luck with the 500 mile round trip!

Which one is this, the 211?MoT booked and on my way, first off flat tyre when I approached the car ....................The Money Pit strikes again power steering decides it don't want fluid, then the left door mirror indicator fails..................Cancel test, and turn back. This car now is officially the worse car I have ever had the misfortune to own! It has taken first place over the Escort turbo diesel................... How much would I get back if I broke her up for parts??
