I would disconnect and plug the vacuum lines in case the control solenoid is bleeding through and opening the valve

I would like to watch a video of all this reading for my E320 with OM613 engine. I don't have the courage to do this. :(

Pluck up the courage, watch a video, stop being a big girls blouse and do it.

Does your motor have a vacuum operated egr? If so, and you are nervous about doing it, take it to a car electrician or MB specialist and get them to do it. Doesn't take much time and cost is not prohibitive.

Thanks for the reply Oigle. Yes, my vehicle has a vacuum-operated EGR. I couldn't do this job, but I had a new job with a software expert. I got rid of the EGR completely by mapping. Now my vehicle is much more powerful and breathes easily.

Without reading 60 pages of forum talk, why dont people just take out and clean the EGR.

Shall I get my tin hat?.....

If I had a car at 20k kilometers at the age of two, I could think of what you said. But my vehicle is 376k kilometers and 22 years old. But it's a better piece of iron than most new nylons.

Mapping is a good solution particularly if the performance envelope is also massaged at same time. Benefit for most people using the shunt is that it costs literally pennies for the parts and maybe an hour of time. Very cost effective.
You may need to look at removing your inlet manifold some time and either replace it or have it cleaned out. The swirl flaps, if any there, should be removed too. Then you will have a complete job!!

Hello Oigle. We could not agree with the authorized MB service for the removal of the swirl flaps. They did not look favorably on the removal of the wings. But he said he could do another service. We had to close the inlet because there was an opening in the EGR valve. Everything is much better now. But I will ask another service to remove the wings.

Merry Christmas!!!

Hello! I have a Sprinter 313 2002, 611 engine. I had to change the intake manifold to a new one that is missing the egr valve and dampers. Now the motor falls into emergency mode after a few tens of seconds at idle (for example, when standing at a traffic light).
I've tried several valve emulation options, including the one listed here on the first page, but the error still pops up. I began to understand and found that I have 3 vacuum valves on my car. One is located under the air filter on the right side and controls the turbine, the second on the right above the motor (to the Egor valve), and the third to the left of the motor (controls the dampers).
Can someone tell me how to block the egr system with such a system

is this still a bit alive?

ml 270 from 2003

trying to do the egr delete, but it doesnt do anything.

made the loom with the resistors and diode, put it in place, but no change at all.

after 15seconds idle, the fault comes up, with or without the shunt in place.

reading 499-520 mg/hub all the time.

dont have star diag tool, but a delphi

You have done something wrong. Many people have done it successfully. Mine has lasted well over 100K so far with no issues. Double/triple check all connections as per instructions and plug hose to transducer.

I’ll have a look at it when I get home later, though it worked just fine for a day. I hear I can delete the MAF also, what do you think?
