Cars do not have an import marker on them,,,only on the V5

Yeah thats what I meant Malc if it aint got an import marker on the V5 then it MUST have been supplied by a UK Dealership !!

In my eyes it is a proper cl55.

When im at work tomorrow i will find out the correct details of the vehicle ie engine to chassis number and see what i come up with

the exhaust is correct for a non supercharger car.

if the O/P confirms the engine is stamped according to the number in the V5 then this has all been rather a storm in a teacup................
