Where does it say that Peter

Top right on datacard key field Production order is not ticked

If a passenger car has been equipped as per special customer request, it is given a production order.

thank you and that does show that it is a fraud as the car is not what as advertised

I will fish out my V70 V5 and see the exact wording for an import though mine was imported brand new

How does it prove that its a fraud to me it makes it the real deal as this is the old style CL55 AMG

I do not think that the odd things on that order form could be stock,,, there are several thing including Italian side markers and it has LHD Xenon lamps. loads more as well

As for the previous pics of the car on pistonheads it looks the same as mine.Does that also make that car a fake.

We know that your car is a CL500 and not a CL55 so therefore the car is not what has been advertised

Im sure the car is a cl55 because if you search on pistonheads there is a few cl's that look the same. so does that mean there is a load of fake cl55 out there:confused:

How do you know its a 4966cc engine:confused:

Because it looks just like mine,,the serial number check will prove that.

We have the original engine number

The words import are not on the Log book

The logbook does not match the car

Many things the AMG car has,, this one has not

Ok, been sat thinkin about this fer some time now & heres what I thought of

1. original buyer ORDERED this in his LOCAL Dealership (Kuwait) but wanted it UK Spec for drivin in the UK (It's a sheik thing I suppose!!!)

2. The OP will not have any recourse to HIS supplier as they sold it as per the V5 log book (the definative indentification for all cars)

3. The OP should contact DVLA & request the previous V5's showing who owned it ( Costs about 4 quid for a "History" check)

4. I would GUESS that there is a CLK55AMG drivin about somewhere that says CL500 on the V5 & i would also guess that it's reg No is consecutive to the OP's

5. Just coz the ORDER originated from 849 does not mean the CAR originated from there mearly that the order was recieved from there

6. I would guess that some 16 year old apprentice was told to "go & fit them reg plates to those two cars outside" & he fitted em the wrong way round!!!!!

7. Find the ORIGINAL SUPPLYING DEALER in the UK & You'll solve the riddle It's NOT got an import marker on it therefore it WAS supplied by a UK dealership

The older amg cars were a standard 500 engine and were just bored out by amg and a few extra bits put on them i.e cams pistons
