I have a C280 sport on P reg, what sort of cost should I be looking at for a 100k service from a garage that specializes in German cars but is not a MB dealer. As the car has reached 100k I think I also read somewhere its advisable to get the oil changed in the autobox again at what cost?

Thanks

Forgot to add does this car have a timing belt or chain and should I have that changed too?

Its a duplex chain so unless you have odd noises (shouldn't at 100k) then ignore. Service wise, it depend on whether it's an A or B service due, but around £100-200 for an A and maybe £300 for a B. It depends a lot on what it will need.
100k isn't specific on a Merc but other items tend to be done every 40k (gearbox oil & filters), 60k etc etc so it depends on whether they have been done already or what has been neglected.
The 100k rules on the gearbox I believe relates to later boxes than yours. My 1996 C class was every 40k anyway.

What Jberks says is a very good guide.
From my point and cars, if I intend to keep the car for some time, I always change all oils and filters, as its the cheapest protction you can get. then at least you know.

Hi GKH welcome to the forum, what SL do you have, and where did you get the service done.
