124 iffy reverse

Hi all,

While reversing (4 speed auto) it feels like there is a brick on the brake. I need to use quite a bit of throttle to get it moving and it stops quite sharpish if I take my foot off.

Not sure how long it's been like this to be honest but it's concerning me all of a sudden.

Does the car roll back freely if you put it in neutral while pointing uphill, and take your foot off the brake?

>>Yup, rolls fine.

Then, sorry, I think Malcolm's right.

So on a scale of 1 - 10, how serious is this? Is my gearbox about to go west?

Sorry to bump this.

Am I looking at an imminent failure or is it something I can kind of ignore as I am rarely in reverse anyway? :)
