Virgin member to this site, but in need of help and clarity?

I have a new c180k estate. It has a fault whereby when the accelerator is applied from stand still or low speed the engine will judder and hesitate.

I have been discussing this with my MB garage who have spoken to Milton keynes technical. Nothing was reported before but now they are telling me that they have a few 180 k engines doing the same.

I now have been told, by the customer service dept., that this is a CHARACTERISTIC of the engine even though the service department and the guy who tests the cars never mentioned this before.

Am I just being fobbed off, or can someone shed some light on this :?:

Thanks in advance

Either ask the dealership your dealing with to let you have a test drive of another C180k and see if it does it or go to another dealer and ask for a test drive.
That way you will know if all C180k's do it, If not then its a fault .

Good Luck & Let us know how you get on
