Talking to Teddy at MB Tech meet, he told me of a way I could see if our very first Merc was still around. I checked and it still is.
The question is does anybody know of a way in which I could locate the current owner, I would love to see her again after all this time.

As you still may have the cars details,you could check on the MOT web site to see where the car was last MOT'd, that will give an indication to the cars whereabouts

Thank you for this, unless dad can find any of the old paperwork the only thing I have at the moment is the reg number.

Do you know of any other way of finding her?

You can write to the DVLA and request the details of the current owner. But they require a good reason to give you the data

Of course, if you were a clamping company they'd cough up the data immediately for a couple of quid...
