1979 280 ce rough idling and engine cut out

I have a 1979 280ce auto, the engine vibrates when idling and just recently the revs die when stopped at lights etc casing the engine to cut out. This happens especially if I've been motorway driving/distance then come off the motorway and usually engine cuts at the first junction stop. Not so bad if short runs round town

car wa recently serviced and MOT'd - garage claim they replaced spark plugs / oil etc

First call for me would be a can of redex in the fuel tank. May not show the effects till tank full is nearly used.

After that, fuel pump relay, ovp relay, Or idle control valve (usually cause too high revs though)
