i have a 1983 230e 123 model that was imported to australia from africa
by a doctor,my brother bought it and drove it for about six years and decided to upgrade to a 1989 190e so now i am the proud owner of it.
it has done 380000 klm and is still running as smooth as silk,
i am trying to get a owners hand book for it you know the one that tell's
you where the ignition key goes and how to ajust the front seat.i hope
someone out there can help me with this problem as it's the only one i have. leo

W123 230E book & site of interest

Have a look at
http://groups.msn.com/W123Club/rants.msnw?all_topics=1
It's a site specifically for these cars & has members from all over the world. If you can't find someone with a spare manual either here or there I'd be very surprised. The Mercedes-Benz Club (UK) also has a W123 helpline 01792 84 68 88 which is very good.
I hava couple of '84 230Es & think they're great cars. The last beautifully built Mercedes & the best saloon car of the late 20th century.
