1987 190 E 2.3 16 Valve

Hi all!

I need some information please regarding the specs required to set the hydraulic lifters OR tappet shims for the 190E 2.3 16 Valve please. We need the specs for clearance.

As above. Hence why they sound line a clapped out diesel on tick over.

Are the valve clearances etc applicable to the 2.3 16 valve as well. The picture in the manual shows a 2.5 16 valve engine cover

Once you have measured which size shims you need, if you can't get any from a merc dealer you can buy them from a Peugeot or Kawasaki outlet.
