and also a bosch right front turn signal for the same 300sl?

finnaly,
i tried to get the hardtop out of my car for the 1st time (just bought it through the internet) but it gets stuck in the car in the rear end.
any trick to solve this? (as i don't have the manual i have no idea if i'm doing it properly)

thanks a lot,

I think they all catch a bit on the cover hinges. Get someone to hold the cover back as far as it will go, and you try to ease it out gently. You'll see that the canvas is worn a bit by repeated friction. I might try filing the right angle down a later in the year.

As for the manual, try e-bay and/or MB. E bay should be cheaper. If your' stuck for anything in particular in the meantime, just post up here. Someone will know the answer, or look it up for you.

When you put the cabrio top back in, make sure you fold the flap at the back down, so it isn't bent back by the safety catch mechanism. If you do that, it might just sit nicely on to the deck as well next time you take it out. The hood needs to have the front catches slotted in irst, them the deck put dow, then the front windscreen catches need to be locked with the removable handles supplied, then the rear safety catch centre spike needs to be engaged and then tensioned with the handle behind the passenger seat. Both handles should end up horizontal and aligned facing the front of car when locked. To release and put the hood down, wind the handle with the roller all the way back "over the top", and the other one as far as it will go "underneath". That releases the spike and unlocks the deck. Lift the deck, undo the screen catches, and fold the hood back, making sure that the 2nd bow (one back from the screen) pivots and folds. Make sure the fabric sits neatly between the bows, and that youv'e no nasty creases. Then press the deck down on both sides and go cruising.

The hard top should also be locked both sides front to back when you put that back on, central spike last of all. Don't fole a wet or frozen cabrio top away, the manual is very insistent abaout that.
