HELP. My trusty 300TE has suddenly started playing up. It starts first thing in the morning OK, ticks over fine, obviously the choke is on. As I have about a four mile drive to work with frequent stops for lights etc, it ticks over with no problem, but, when I have parked up, come back after a few hours, it will start OK but cuts out unless I keep throttle down, it is as if the automatic choke is not activating. This problem carries on until the car is thoroughly warmed up, when it then ticks over fine.
Again, starting up next morning everything fine until I stop and leave it.
Have changed plugs, had mixer checked and I have been assured that they are OK. Can anyone help please, as you hear horror stories about taking to "Dealers" to have these things checked. Hope someone out there knows something, as this problem is spoiling a good car.
