1989 190 E Won't Start On Damp Mornings

Just picked this one up, seems it has a slight issue....it wont start if it is damp outside, later on in the day runs ok, another thing it seems to be doing periodically, when I go to step on the gas the economy gauge goes wacky, then itll act like its bogged down then stall, switch key off restart it and it runs fine, doesn't do this all the time@stalls. Thanks for any advice on this.

This will be condensation inside the dizzy cap and on the rotor arm,, by spraying them with a silicon or PTFE sealant it could cure it

And remove the rubber boot over the distributor if it has one.

Ok now here's the rub, been raining here today pretty much all day, I get home, and guess what this thing does?? Stick the key in her and she cranks right up...I am completely baffled
